Acacia sinuata

Used in alleviating pain during childbirth (seed); in biliousness (pod decoction); in skin diseases and dandruff (pod); promotes hair growth (pods) and as a mild laxative.

Artemisia campestris

To treat stomach problems (leaves); to rheumatic joints, eczema, bruises and sores (plant); as a hair tonic and to treat scalp infections (root)

Benincasa hispida

Epilepsy (fruit juice); for intestinal worms (shelled seeds); dandruff (seed and peel); in periodic attacks of hysteria, peptic ulcers, coagulating blood, general debility, as a purifying agent, cancer, obesity, hemoptysis, used in the treatment of coughs, fevers, excessive thirst and tuberculosis; painful wounds (rind).

Chlorogalum pomeridianum

To treat wind in the stomach, rubbed on rheumatic joints, in the treatment of dandruff, to prevent lice and also to treat skin irritations including that caused by poison oak (bulb)

Drimys winteri

For stomach problems, colic, dandruff and scurvy (bark)

Laurus nobilis

In the treatment of hysteria, amenorrhoea, flatulent colic etc (fruits, leaves); to treat upper respiratory tract disorders and to ease arthritic aches and pains (leaves); to treat sprains, bruises etc (oil from fruit); used to treat anorexia, cancer, candida, colic, dandruff, earache, high Blood Pressure, hysteria, nervousness, rheumatism, uterosis.

Nyctanthes arbor-tristis

In sciatica, rheumatism and fever, as an antidote for reptile venoms (leaf); skin diseases (seed paste or powder); as an application for dandruff and other scalp conditions (powdered seeds).

Persea americana

For dysentery (fruit skin); as a remedy for pyorrhea, on wounds, to relieve neuralgia, for diarrhea, sore throat and hemorrhage (leaves); to cure dandruff (seed powder); relieve toothache (seed); on skin eruptions (oil from seed)

Pongamia pinnata

As a tonic (seed) and in hemorrhoids (stem bark); chronic fevers, rheumatism, lumbago, herpes, scabies, leucoderma and other skin diseases, flatulence, dyspepsia, diarrhoea, cough, leprosy and gonorrhoea (plant); on the head to heal ulcers and cure dandruff (leaf paste); used for cleaning sores, as well as for cleaning teeth and strengthening gums (root juice).

Urtica dioica

Jaundice, kidney problems, bleeding of the uterus and nose, excessive menstruation, haemorrhoids, arthritis, rheumatism and eczema, as a diuretic (for relieving rheumatism and edema), astringent and as a substitute for thiazide treatment (without side effects) (plant); Externally, the plant is used to treat skin complaints, arthritic pain, gout, sciatica, neuralgia, haemorrhoids, dandruff etc.; as a tonic (flower and seed); for heart problems. Nettles have a long history of Use(s) in the home as a herbal remedy and nutritious addition to the diet. A tea made from the leaves has traditionally been used as a cleansing tonic and blood purifier so the plant is often used in the treatment of hay fever, arthritis, anaemia etc.

Wrightia tinctoria

In hemorrhoids and skin disorders (such as psoriasis) (bark); dysentery (seed); dermatitis. It is effective in psoriasis and nonspecific dermatitis. The leaves are used in various skin disorders including herpes. It has antidandruff activity and is used in the treatment of various scalp and skin disorders.
